Mag finally does LED

Today I spotted an advertisement in the paper (a full page in the weekend magazine opposite the sudoku) for MAG-LED™ Technology indicating that 2, 3 and 4 D cell LED models and a two AA LED model were available. It also displayed an LED upgrade module for 2, 3 and 4 C or D cell models which (if I want to) would let me upgrade the 2 D cell model I have had for a few years now.

When I was next on my computer I decided to check out their website to see what else there was. What did I see? The same page that has been up for quite some time saying that they “are pleased to report that Mag will soon be adding MAG-LED™ flashlights to its product line.”

Surely it is a lot less effort to update their website than it is to produce full page advertisements in print publications?

The one light that I am interested in is not mentioned in the advertisement, the solitaire. I have one of these with my keys and a couple of times I have looked for a similar sized LED light but haven’t been able to find a suitable replacement. I hope they are planning to release an LED version.

On a final note it will be interesting to see how these LED lights compare to the dozens (if not hundreds) of lights that have appeared over the past few years.
