Finally another Mudbash with buggies

Monday, June 13th, 2005 at 08:42pm

For the past four days I have been at Mudbash 2005, the first in four years with buggies, in which we (Nonarmi Rover Crew) entered our buggy; a Datsun 180B SSS coupe named The Last of the Japanese Four Cylinder Muscle Cars.

Unfortunately one of the spider gears within the differential sheared on the way back from the first event which meant that it was all over. Although I wasn’t too keen on driving any events I was looking forward to passengering :(

Another Surfmoot is over

Sunday, January 30th, 2005 at 06:58pm

This afternoon I drove back from an enjoyable Surfmoot even though it was only for two nights (versus three or even five as it will be next year).

As I was the only person from my crew, Nonarmi, that wasn’t on the Surfmoot committee (2 people) or had to go to Sydney for work (1 person) I ended up driving myself down, a first for a rover event as I usually get a lift with someone else, and camped with other crews from Monash district.

This year I’m going to make an effort in getting Nonarmi more involved in district activities as it just doesn’t work with only four people.

Another MudBash is over…

Monday, June 14th, 2004 at 02:02pm

…and despite the numbers being way down (because of no cars) it as an ok weekend away.

It was also a short weekend as I didn’t end up getting there until the Saturday night as both Trev and Stu (my two transport options) were delayed by family stuff and work respectively…

Surfmoot

Sunday, January 25th, 2004 at 07:04pm

I came back early from Surfmoot this afternoon based on a combination of factors but mostly because Stu got stuck with doing work before Tuesday. So I came back with Jordie and Ben who were always on planning on returning early.

Despite this I thoroughly enjoyed the two nights I was there and I suppose one advantage is that I can now get around to doing some stuff tomorrow…
